We had a little sunshine the other day and seized upon this and went out to Mineral Point. There is not much snow yet this winter so the drive out was easy and the trail virtually free of any snow. Mineral Point is on the shore of lake Pend Oreille

My favorite birds are corvids. The family includes crows, ravens, jays, and magpies. In Britain we also had rooks with their thick white ceres, jackdaws as well as ravens and magpies. There are no rooks or jackdaws in North Idaho but ravens chortle in the woods and crows abound here
