Morning Sunrise from Sandpoint

I was out for my morning walk down to the City Beach park and on this morning I brought my camera. The sun was not up yet and the sky was very hazy and overcast. I wasn’t expecting much this morning but even these well-traveled mundane walks have turned up good or interesting images.

I looked out over the lake as I turned to return home and I caught the sun just coming up over the Cabinet mountains. I liked three different images. They each have their own unique feel for me despite being essentially the same subject. Framing and composition can have such a strong effect on an image.

The blue haze of early morning and some smoke from Canadian wildfires created a lovely set of colors.
