Metering for Film

Introduction

This was originally intended to be a printed manual. Realizing there is probably a stronger desire to have an online form, I have adapted it to a series of blog posts.

This summarizes what I have learned about metering for film and the principles I use.

I welcome comments, questions, or someone pointing out where I have something wrong. I wrote this as a resource so others don’t have to spend so long learning what I learned. There are many ways of explain things so if something is not clear please comment so I can make it more useful.

The best way through is to follow the links from one chapter to the next. Substack makes it difficult to maintain a set of ordered posts.
